Why use the services of an AICS member?
- The Association of Independent Computer Specialists
A trade association for firms supplying specialist computer-related services. Our membership includes sole traders, partnerships and companies.
- Vetting service
All Full members are vetted before they are allowed into the association. We require two references to try to ensure that members are technically competent and commercially stable. We can, and do, ask members to leave if they fail to maintain the required standards.
- Code of practice
All members must abide by our code of practice. This ensures that their relationship with you, their client, is put on a proper formal basis.
- Mediation service
Should things go wrong (a very rare occurrence) there is provision for mediation. Our members are in business for the long term and will not misrepresent their experience or capabilities. Apart from the fact that it would be against the code of practice, they want you as a long term customer.
- Wide range of specialities
Our members have a wide range of specialities and we can usually put you in touch with a member who has the skills you require. In some cases we can put together a consortium for a particular job.Members' services range from fixed term contracts for software development to the supply of bespoke software and hardware systems. We have consultants who can offer impartial and independent advice, or act as expert witnesses in computer-related disputes. A number of members offer training in a range of subjects.
- We can find the service you need...
Our free enquiry service can almost certainly help you find the consultant or specialist service you need in which case you can expect a professional job. If we cannot help we will tell you so.
